Understand your child, beyond their behavior.

Neurodiversity-affirming speech-language therapy for children in the Pittsburgh area and compassionate support for the people who love them.

At Beyond Behavior, we believe behavior is communication. Every behavior tells a story, and our first job is to understand what a child is trying to communicate. Together, we'll identify the skills that may be lagging and build meaningful communication, self-regulation, executive functioning, and stronger, more connected relationships.

Jessi Adams, M.S., CCC-SLP

PA Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist & Founder of Beyond Behavior Speech & Language Therapy LLC

Hi, I'm Jessi!

I'm a speech-language pathologist, mom of neurodivergent children, and founder of Beyond Behavior Speech & Language Therapy.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with incredible children and families in schools, clinics, and private practice. But becoming a parent, especially to neurodivergent children, changed the way I see therapy forever.

I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're trying to support a child who experiences the world differently. I know what it's like to search for answers, advocate through difficult meetings, celebrate hard-earned victories, and simply want someone to truly understand your child.

That's why I created Beyond Behavior.

I believe every child deserves to be seen as a whole person, not a diagnosis, a behavior, or a checklist. My goal is to help the children I work with build meaningful communication, develop self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and feel safe being exactly who they are.

My approach is rooted in connection, regulation, curiosity, and respect. Together, we'll work to understand what's beneath the behavior while building practical communication skills that support everyday life.

I'm so glad you're here, and I'd be honored to be part of your family's journey.
